Well I payed quite a bit of money here and there were never any warnings this game might not be open to every buyer. What do I do now? I'm quite surprised that you've missed the 64-bit OS requirement. You can ask for a refund, though don't expect Steam to give it to you - Steam can be a real b*** about such things.So probably the easiest solution is to upgrade to a 64-bit OS, which I highly recommend as 64-bit is the future ;-) It's not an ideal solution but if you're comfortable doing so, you can try to dual boot your system with a 64-bit version of Linux Mint (which will be free).You could also install it to an external drive (USB 3.0) then boot into that. they can't install a 64 bit OS if they only have 32 bit hardware.

As far as i remember it wasnt even a price point to go for a 32bit one.I can understand why people use older OSes like XP and such stuff, but why would you ever use a 32bit?

This seems to imply it supports 64-bit.If this game supports XP I assume it must support 32-bit as well. I was wondering how well the performance would be on an old high-end system.Anyone have some action of 32-bit windows XP video and performance numbers?

You existing product key works with it. It is totally free.You will however, lose all of your data, so you'll need to backup your files and reinstall all of your programs.Here's a link to Microsoft to download the windows 7 64-bit installation software and how to burn it to USB for an installation USB drive.https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery.I doubt there will be a 32-bit version as this program uses too many resources for it to run at all.

32-bit is very outdated and most programs are moving to 64-bit finally as 32-bit has a limit of 4GB ram and most system today are 8gb RAM or more. 32 bit is just not supported for most modern games anymore. And it's about time too. As noted you can installed 64 bit with the same key.

Or wait until fall and get Windows 10 64 bit for free (it's a free upgrade from Win 7 and Win 8). Please contact the device manufacturer for software recovery options. Great, just call whoever (HP, Dell, Gateway, etc.) They shoulkd be able to point you to a set of the correct recovery disks or images. They mailed me ones the last time I did this a couple of years ago.
